Check Out a Colorado State Parks Pass!
Have you always wanted to check out Colorado’s State Parks? Now you can with your library card! The Summit County Libraries are thrilled to be participating in the #CheckOutColorado State Parks library loan program, the result of a partnership between Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Colorado Department of Education State Library. Each library branch has two park pass hang-tags that grant one car FREE access to any Colorado State Park. The pass comes with an adventure backpack and can be checked out for up to seven days.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see one (or more!) of Colorado’s 42 state parks. Find a park nearby or scout one out for a road trip using the State Park Finder. There are over 700 miles of maintained trails for hiking and biking in our state parks, not to mention fishing, boating, paddle boarding and so much more to experience with your family. Our #CheckOutColorado backpacks will get you started!
Each backpack contains:
- 1 state park pass hang-tag
- 1 set of binoculars
- 1 Colorado Wildlife Guide
- 1 Colorado Trees and Wildflower Guide
- 1 Guide to Your 42 State Parks
- 1 Leave No Trace™ card
- 1 activity ideas list
- 1 program evaluation card
If you are ready to #CheckOutColorado State Parks, head over to one of Summit County Libraries three locations – Main in Frisco, North in Silverthorne, or South in Breckenridge – to check out a backpack today and head out for an adventure!
