Current and Future Events
July 25, 2018 11:00 am – noon
Location: Puzzler Room, South Branch Library, 103 S. Harris St. Breckenridge, CO
Capture the physical world of words in a piece of soundwave art. Great for gifts and decorations. 6th – 12th graders are invited to create art pieces with their words, lyrics, poems, or phrases. We will meet in the Puzzler Room.
July 30, 2018 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Location: South Branch Library, 103 S. Harris St. Breckernidge, CO
Calling all teens! To celebrate all the hours of reading you’ve accomplished we will be throwing down a vintage thrift store prom. Get decked out with oversized bows, plaid bowties, and shoes you can dance your heart out in. Three of the five grand prizes will go to attendees of this year’s end-of-summer party. There will be even more prizes, games, crafts, and snacks! 2-4 pm at the South Branch Library in the Hopefull/Discovery Rooms!
Do you want to give back to your community or gain job experience? Teens volunteer their time and earn community service hours at the library.
Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
A great way to do this is by joining TAB (Teen Advisory Board). TAB members help plan library events and give input on what they’d like at the South Branch library. Click Here for information about TAB.
Teens can also volunteer their time by doing various tasks at any of our three branches. Volunteer duties may include things like helping with children's programs, preparing crafts, cleaning, recycling and shelving. Click Here for information about volunteering.
Don't Forget Your Homework
We have more than just books to help you ace those pesky school assignments! Our Resources for Students page has lots of research options you can use any time (including the middle of the night when your paper is due the next day.) All you need is your library card. The Main Branch in Frisco and the South Branch in Breckenridge have study rooms you can use and you can even check out stuff like Chromebooks, iPads, video equipment and more at the South Branch.
