Summit Reads Announces its 2024 Community Book Choice

The 2024 Summit Reads Community Project returns for a ninth year with events and a book discussion focused on the book, Spare parts: four undocumented teenagers, one ugly robot, and the battle for the American dream , by Joshua Davis.
“Summit Reads continues its focus on topics that affect Summit County residents in choosing our 2024 community book,” said Friends of Summit County Libraries Treasurer, Joyce Dierauer.“ This year we chose immigration status and Spare Parts as the 2024 book,” Dierauer added. “We are extremely pleased that Lorenzo was willing to travel to Summit County to share his personal story,” she said.
Special Events
We invite the whole community to join us at the Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge on Tuesday, April 23 at 6pm for a meet and greet and book signing.
Then at 7pm, there will be a talk by Lorenzo Santillan in the Eileen and Paul Finkel auditorium.

- April 30 at 6:30 pm Book Discussion, North Branch Library, Silverthorne
- May 10 at 7pm Spare Parts Movie Screening, Colorado Mountain College, Breckenridge
