The Frisco Historic Park & Museum is happy to bring back the annual Summer Lunchtime Lecture Series featuring nine speakers with new topics. We are excited to be partnering with the Summit County Community and Senior Center as part of their Aging Gracefully Series and the Summit County Library Adult Summer Reading Program. Trees in our region have captured the attention of all those who have lived here in the Centennial State. John Anderson presents “Prayer Trees of Colorado,” an in-depth look at Ute Prayer Trees and the meaning behind their cultural modifications. Anderson is a longtime researcher of CMTs (Culturally Modified Trees) in the Pikes Peak region, documenting these time-sensitive homages to the past. Join us at 12:00pm at the Summit County Community and Senior Center in Frisco to be a part of this exciting and developing conversation. Books will be available for purchase after the lecture.
