Meet Martha Maxwell: Pioneer Naturalist

When:
August 26, 2020 noon 1:00 pm

We have partnered with the Frisco Historic Park to promote their summer series of lunchtime lectures. Storyteller, Linda Batlin, presents the story of Colorado’s first taxidermist, Martha Maxwell. Nicknamed the “Colorado Huntress” – Maxwell was a pioneer naturalist that took her love of animals, art, and nature to a new level with her unique taxidermy displays. Join Batlin at the Frisco Historic Park & Museum’s Gazebo on August 26 at 12pm for this lively one-woman presentation featuring period costumes and theatrics that bring Maxwell’s story to life. This lecture is subject to physical distancing guidelines and public health ordinances.

More information on the location & status of this lecture will be posted at FriscoHistoricPark.com and the Frisco Historic Park & Museum as it becomes available. Follow the Frisco Historic Park & Museum on Facebook for social media updates.
