Video Games Now Available at South Branch Library

Summit County Library is excited to announce a new collection of video games available for check out!
Diverse worlds, interactive stories, and new adventures are at your fingertips with your library card.
Where are the games?
There is a collection of Playstation 4 games at the South Branch Library In Breckenridge available for check out.
Can I put a hold on a video game?
Yes! Video game titles can be hold requested and picked up from any of our three library branches in Frisco, Breckenridge, or Silverthorne, the same as our other materials.
How long can I check out a video game?
Video games check out for two weeks and can be renewed twice.
How many games can I check out?
Up to 2, as we continue to grow the collection.
Where can I return my video game?
Video games can be returned to any of our 3 locations in Frisco, Breckenridge, or Silverthorne.
What is the late fine?
We no longer have late fines on our items. However, if you do not return the item within 2 weeks, you will be billed the replacement cost of the item. Learn more about our Fine Free system here.
What are these games rated?
The South video game collection are all rated M for Mature. This means they contain intense graphics, mature themes, or both and will be shelved in the adult collection. We encourage parents to talk with their children about what is acceptable material to read, listen to or view as Summit County Library staff may not decide what children with youth cards can or cannot check out.

Want to help our collection grow?
The South Branch Library in Breckenridge is now accepting donations of used video games in good condition.
1. Games compatible with ONLY the following consoles can be accepted: Playstation 3, 4, and 5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch.
2. No PC games will be accepted.
3. We cannot accept games that require special equipment. Examples:Guitar Hero which needs a guitar controller to play orWii Fit.
